Use an OptiMate charger with a LiFePO4 program matching the battery's nominal voltage. Do not use a lead-acid-only charging program unless the battery manufacturer explicitly approves it.
Selected OptiMate chargers can begin recovery from batteries discharged as low as 0.5V, and compatible lithium models can reset a protective BMS. Recovery still depends on battery condition and cannot reverse permanent internal damage.
The OptiMate G10 supports compatible 16V AGM and 16V LiFePO4 racing batteries, while OptiMate Lithium LFP Select supports 16V LiFePO4 batteries. Confirm the exact battery chemistry and select the corresponding 16V program before connecting.
On the OptiMate G10, FASTCHARGE prioritizes maximum charging output for race preparation. The selectable DIAGNOSTIC program is intended for deeply discharged or smaller batteries and uses Ampmatic control to adjust current according to battery condition and size.
