How do I use it?

    Connect using the installed fused eyelet lead or supplied battery clamps, following the manual’s connection instructions.

  2. Plug into power

    Plug the charger into an AC outlet. Charging starts automatically—no buttons or settings to select.

    The charger will automatically charge and test your battery, then switch to maintenance to keep it ready between rides.

Before you buy

Will it work with any lithium battery?

No. It is designed for compatible 12.8V / 13.2V LiFePO₄ / LFP batteries with four cells in series.

Can it recover a dead lithium battery?

It can attempt recovery from as low as 0.5V. Recovery depends on battery condition; permanently damaged batteries may need replacement.

Can I leave it connected during storage?

Yes. After charging and testing, the charger automatically maintains the battery. Check battery condition periodically as directed in the manual.

The OptiMate Lithium LFP 4s1A is a complete battery-saving solution designed specifically for 4-cell-in-series 12.8V / 13.2V LiFePO₄ batteries, combining lithium-safe recovery, charging, testing, and long-term maintenance in one fully automatic charger. Delivering a maximum charging current of 0.8 Amps, it is ideal for compatible lithium batteries from 1–12Ah in street motorcycles, sportbikes, race motorcycles, adventure motorcycles, dirt bikes, motocross bikes, enduro motorcycles, cruisers, scooters, ATVs, and UTVs, as well as small deep-cycle LFP applications. Suitable applications include eligible models from Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, BMW Motorrad, Ducati, Triumph, KTM, Husqvarna, Aprilia, Harley-Davidson, Indian, Polaris, and Can-Am when fitted with an original or replacement LiFePO₄ battery that meets these voltage and capacity requirements. Its intelligent 9-step program automatically manages every stage of battery care, making it easy to protect your lithium battery during regular use, winter storage, and extended periods between rides. The lithium-specific recovery program can attempt recovery from as low as 0.5V, carefully reconditioning a deeply discharged battery to accept a normal charge while monitoring cell health. If permanent cell damage is detected, charging stops to help prevent overheating. For compatible batteries with a built-in battery management system and deep-discharge protection, automatic BMS reset pulses help restore charging access—connect directly to the battery using the supplied clamps or fused battery lead, then connect the charger to AC power. Once charging and testing are complete, OptiMate’s 24-7 lithium-specific maintenance program checks the battery hourly and, when its charge falls below 70%, brings it back to approximately 90%, helping preserve battery life during storage. Designed for sensitive vehicle electronics, it includes reverse-polarity protection, spark suppression, short-circuit protection, and protection against overcharging. Its sealed, weatherproof construction supports indoor and outdoor use, while efficient power conversion and standby consumption below 0.5W help reduce electricity use. Universal 100–240V, 50–60Hz input is supplied through a North American Type A plug. The package includes the OptiMate Lithium LFP 4s1A TM471 charger, an O-04 battery clamp set, an O-01 fused battery lead with M6 ring terminals, and a user manual, backed by a three-year limited replacement warranty.
