The OptiMate G10 12V/16V (model: TM651) automatic battery charger is a versatile and powerful all-rounder for the 12V & 16V AGM (sealed lead-acid) and 12.8V / 13.2V (4s) & 16V (5s) Lithium LFP (LiFePO4) batteries used in all racing, including drag & circle track.
The FASTcharge program is the perfect racing program that automatically recharges the battery at maximum power and will support your battery during pre-race preparation.
If the battery is deep discharged the Diagnostic program can be activated to recover the battery with the proprietary OptiMate battery save and recovery modes for AGM and LFP batteries. Once recovered charging continues with Ampmatic control, automatically adjusting current lower for the smaller batteries or a battery still recovering.
One of 4 battery modes can be selected prior to charging and remains in memory i.e. reconnect your battery and the previously selected charge mode ensures it is charged right.
It’s protected against selection errors - Connect a battery with a different voltage in error and the OptiMate G10 will not proceed until you correct the selection.
And you can charge in any weather, as not only are the cables and the charger rated for use down to minus 40 degrees, but the integrated thermal sensor also actively adjusts charge voltage / current according to ambient temperature.
Best of all, it automatically saves a dead flat battery from as low as ½ a volt, bringing back to life batteries other chargers can’t with special recovery methods for each battery mode.
Smart Selection: 4 battery mode selections 1) 12V AGM 2) 16V AGM 3) 12.8V/13.2V (4 cell) LFP Â 4) 16V (5 cell) LFP. Your selection remains in memory, unaffected by loss of AC power or battery disconnection. Connect to the same battery and it charges automatically, or if AC power is disrupted whilst charging, once power returns it automatically continues charging according to the memorized selection.
FASTcharge program : Automatically activates when battery is connected andf voltage indicates battery is not deep discharged (below 11V for a 12V battery or 15V for a 16V battery). Maximum current (10A at 12V or 8A at 16V) is delivered.
Diagnostic program : Can be pre-selected before connection to the battery if it is smaller (e.g. motorcycle) or, if the battery is deep discharged below 11V for a 12V battery or 15V for a 16V battery. Once selected the battery can be automatically saved from as low as 0.5 Volts, or the smart BMS protecting a lithium LFP battery can be reset to turn the battery on again.
AmpMatic : Delivered only during Diagnostic mode this smart current control technology automatically adjusts current between 10A (8A at 16V) and 1A - smaller battery gets less current, bigger battery gets more!
T°-SAFE: Automatic temperature regulation : AGM: Charge voltage set at default temperature of 25°C, with adjustment of -18mV / °C. LFP: Charge current is reduced below 0°C (32°F) or above 45°C (113°F) to protect the battery from damage.
GREEN TECHNOLOGY: Hi-tech industrial level power conversion with power factor correction & synchronous rectification makes this 120W battery charging platform one of the most efficient in the industry. If left connected to AC power, standby power is less than 0.5W. OptiMate G10 uses 50% less power than ‘other brand’ chargers and guaranteed to save you money in electricity cost!
